Our last week in Seattle was a Memorial Day Weekend Extravaganza, there was family, friends and oh so much food! Our weekend started on Friday night with Karaoke Bingo at the local Senior Center. We weren't lucky enough to jump up and yell BINGO but we did have a great time laughing and singing along with those brave enough to hop up on stage and belt out a classic or two. Read More

I'm back in San Francisco after a wonderful and inspiring trip to Austin, I am so excited to get into the workshop to start some new projects. Austin has so many antique stores and thrift shops to explore and I spent three days walking through dusty, jam packed shelves of treasures! After finding a great little coffee shop, Monkeys Nest, I headed to the first shop. Out of the Past is a small shop with items from floor to ceiling, everything is piled on top of everything and it is a place where you really have to dig but well worth it because I came out with a few treasures! The rest of the shops I visited were smaller in terms of inventory, more organized and didn't require hand sanitizer. There was so much to look at! Your classic shop finds like brass animals, odd ball items like baby doll mannequins, fine antique leather goods and of course furniture from beautifully restored to artistically painted! Thank you Austin for the treasures...I'll be back!
Wahoo! It's Friday night, I have my feet up, a cup of hot tea and my packed suitcase waiting in the hallway! A few short hours from writing this I will be on my way to Austin, Texas! My best friend left the lovely city I call home for a new adventure in the South and has graciously opened her home to her treasure hunting friend! Austin has so much to see and I am very excited to explore the many shops for inspiration, hidden treasures and get in some serious girlfriend time! My little shop on Irving Street has just celebrated its six month anniversary! Oh Boy! It has been an amazing adventure so far! The business has really taken off the last few months and I am looking forward to slowing down for the weekend and recharging my creative eye! I recently took a walk around the San Francisco Design Center and stumbled upon this statue, it made me stop and take a moment to reflect on this year and all that has happen. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to follow my creative passion and to have so much support from my friends and family. I hope everyone has a lovely & relaxing weekend! Please take some time to reflect on what makes you smile and spend a little time nurturing it!
