This cute but dated nightstand has been tucked in the back of the workshop for awhile now, just waiting for its turn to be transformed! I pulled it out of storage, dusted it off, took a step back and after staring at it for a few minutes formed a plan of attack. I knew I wanted to visually open it up and show off the cute little legs by taking off the cabinet door. After the door and all of the hardware was removed I filled in the holes and sanded it. Followed by a coat of primer and a couple coats of glossy white paint it was time for my favorite part...the pop of color! I painted the now cubbyhole and inside of the drawer this sweet pastel sweet pea green! I had this delightful swirly heart shaped drawer pull on hand that was perfect after a touch of green! This nightstand is a wonderful addition to any bedroom in your home. Style it for your little ones room, your guest room or even as an end table in the living room.

My apologies for taking a week away from the blog. The Las Vegas Market was such an amazing adventure and I was so inspired and excited that I locked myself in the workshop and just created for a week! I was very lucky that my mom (a pro when it comes to attending markets) joined me to my first. It could have been overwhelming but with her experience and plenty to chat about we navigated the many floors and building with ease. Here are some photos from the adventure... Mom and I Day 1...this is before we walked a million miles :-) There was no shortage of stuff to see, three 16 floor buildings and a huge pavilion of goodies to checkout! No Christmas tree is complete without a slinky dog in a Santa hat or a glittery glass crab! And we can't forget about those who are all about working their core while working on their spreadsheets! I would definitely be happier if I walked into the office everyday and saw this little fella smiling at me :-)
This weekend is sure to be a fun filled crazy adventure! Sunday is the Alameda Antique Faire so the shop will be closed while I hunt for new treasures to bring back to life and into the shop. After a long day of treasure hunting I will hop on a plane and head to Las Vegas where I will meet my mom for an exciting few days of shopping the Las Vegas Market! I have never been to a large trade show before and very grateful my mom has accepted my invitation to torture our feet by walking for endless hours through many floors and buildings of home furnishings. Follow along as I explore Alameda and the Las Vegas Market. I will be posting my finds on Instagram!
The shop will be closed from Sunday August 1st to Wednesday August 5th and will reopen its doors on Thursday August 6th! Have a great weekend see everyone next week! |
