Happy Halloween! Today is a day involving a lot of Reese's Cups and Sour Patch Kids, what I'm hoping to find in my basket anyway! I will be participating in the trick or treat tradition by putting together a little treat to put in your plastic jack-o-lantern buckets! Maybe not as sweet as that pint of ice cream you may or may not entirely consume between answering the door for trick or treaters and watching Hocus Pocus, but a pretty sweet deal!
When you take a moment to sign up for my Delightful Designs Newsletter (don't worry I won't overload your inbox) I will drop a 10% Off treat into your metaphorical jack-o-lantern! If you already receive the newsletter, my wholehearted Thank You! You will also be receiving a treat in you inbox! Happy Home Decor Halloween!
Now that y'all have a pretty good idea of what my evening entails, go out there and have some fun! Enjoy your weekend and stop by the shop to use that 10% treat (I'll be there all weekend) or click over to the shop tab and use it online! I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Halloween!

The online shop went live on Monday and it has been a great week! All of the small decor items are available for shipping and are ready to find a new home! The larger pieces are also available for shipping but require a conversation to create a shipping quote personalized to your location. To do so shoot me an email or give me a call!
Here is a look at a few of the pieces that are new to the site! Also added to the shop are a couple of wearable non home decor items. These beautiful headbands and scarves are hand crocheted and the company supports the ALS Association, a Great Holiday Gift Idea! I'm back in San Francisco after a wonderful and inspiring trip to Austin, I am so excited to get into the workshop to start some new projects. Austin has so many antique stores and thrift shops to explore and I spent three days walking through dusty, jam packed shelves of treasures! After finding a great little coffee shop, Monkeys Nest, I headed to the first shop. Out of the Past is a small shop with items from floor to ceiling, everything is piled on top of everything and it is a place where you really have to dig but well worth it because I came out with a few treasures! The rest of the shops I visited were smaller in terms of inventory, more organized and didn't require hand sanitizer. There was so much to look at! Your classic shop finds like brass animals, odd ball items like baby doll mannequins, fine antique leather goods and of course furniture from beautifully restored to artistically painted! Thank you Austin for the treasures...I'll be back!
Wahoo! It's Friday night, I have my feet up, a cup of hot tea and my packed suitcase waiting in the hallway! A few short hours from writing this I will be on my way to Austin, Texas! My best friend left the lovely city I call home for a new adventure in the South and has graciously opened her home to her treasure hunting friend! Austin has so much to see and I am very excited to explore the many shops for inspiration, hidden treasures and get in some serious girlfriend time! My little shop on Irving Street has just celebrated its six month anniversary! Oh Boy! It has been an amazing adventure so far! The business has really taken off the last few months and I am looking forward to slowing down for the weekend and recharging my creative eye! I recently took a walk around the San Francisco Design Center and stumbled upon this statue, it made me stop and take a moment to reflect on this year and all that has happen. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to follow my creative passion and to have so much support from my friends and family. I hope everyone has a lovely & relaxing weekend! Please take some time to reflect on what makes you smile and spend a little time nurturing it!
Tomorrow (Sunday October 4th) the shop on Irving Street will be closed and showcasing all of it treasures at the Alameda Antique Faire! If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area and want a fun way to spend your Sunday come on out! Soak up some sunshine while treasure hunting through the many rows of antiques, stop for lunch at one of the many great food trucks and enjoy the day with friends and family! You can find Delightful Designs at Booth D28! We (the above goof balls) will be having a blast so stop by to join in the fun! Hoping that our first off-site outing is a fun and successful day! Want more information on the Faire check out our event page.
