I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! A day that makes me smile for many reasons, one of those being the beginning of the Holidays. I started this morning by putting on my favorite holiday sweater and snowflake earrings! The twinkle lights are up at the shop and the music is in full holiday mode.
This weekend is jam packed with shopping incentives; Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday! Delightful Designs will be offering 10%-20% Off at the little shop on Irving and the online store all weekend! Sign up to receive your savings code by email.
Fall is in full swing as we approach the holiday season. The air is cooler, the leaves have begun to change and the city is showcasing its magnificent colors! As San Francisco transforms into those rich autumn colors outdoors it's time to bring the warmth into your home.
My favorite way to bring the warmth and color from this time of year into my home is with mirrors! When the windows are open and the cool Fall breeze is welcomed in the light and the colors of the changing trees is reflected into every corner of your home. Jewel tone mirrors are a wonderful way to bring the cheer of this season into your home year round!
All of these mirrors are available for local pick-up or contact me for a custom shipping quote. I also have one unpainted mirror, I was thinking Emerald Green but happy to do a custom color to fit your home!
Happy Halloween! Today is a day involving a lot of Reese's Cups and Sour Patch Kids, what I'm hoping to find in my basket anyway! I will be participating in the trick or treat tradition by putting together a little treat to put in your plastic jack-o-lantern buckets! Maybe not as sweet as that pint of ice cream you may or may not entirely consume between answering the door for trick or treaters and watching Hocus Pocus, but a pretty sweet deal!
When you take a moment to sign up for my Delightful Designs Newsletter (don't worry I won't overload your inbox) I will drop a 10% Off treat into your metaphorical jack-o-lantern! If you already receive the newsletter, my wholehearted Thank You! You will also be receiving a treat in you inbox!
Happy Home Decor Halloween!
Now that y'all have a pretty good idea of what my evening entails, go out there and have some fun! Enjoy your weekend and stop by the shop to use that 10% treat (I'll be there all weekend) or click over to the shop tab and use it online! I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Halloween!
The online shop went live on Monday and it has been a great week! All of the small decor items are available for shipping and are ready to find a new home! The larger pieces are also available for shipping but require a conversation to create a shipping quote personalized to your location. To do so shoot me an email or give me a call!
Here is a look at a few of the pieces that are new to the site! Also added to the shop are a couple of wearable non home decor items. These beautiful headbands and scarves are hand crocheted and the company supports the ALS Association, a Great Holiday Gift Idea!

I have been attending this faire since I moved to the San Francisco area seven years ago! Whether you are looking for something particular or just want a fun way to spend a Sunday this is a great place to do either! As you enter the gates the familiar scent of kettle corn hits your nose... grab a bag and begin to wander the endless rows of treasures. Bring the family there are plenty of toys for little ones to take home! Don't forget to stop for lunch at one of the many food trucks!
Here are some Before & After photos of Items I have found at the Alameda Faire!
If you are a resident of San Francisco you will welcome the change as you escape from Karl the Fog for a sunny adventure...take the ferry if you really want to up the adventure!
Chairs! If you know me personally you know I have a slight obsession... you can never have too many! Chairs are a fun and my personal favorite way to add personality and color to any room. This week I received a rush order for four wood dining chairs to be updated with a matte grey finish, not my usual color of choice but a fun project all the same! The set of Windsor style chairs I used was a mix that I rescued from different places around San Francisco. A light sanding, two coats of Benjamin Moore Iron Mountain matte grey, a coat of satin Minwax polycrylic and these chairs where ready to be on their way to the Hampton's! Safe travels!
As this set of dining chairs were being picked up to make the trek across the country I welcomed another set of four to transform! Here is the "Before" stay tuned for the "After"!
Happy Labor Day Weekend!
There is so much to look forward to this holiday weekend! With family coming to town and my favorite antique faire on Sunday it is bound to be great! To share my delight with everyone I have marked down some of the one-of-a-kind pieces on my Online Store AND for a $20 credit to put towards your purchase subscribe to the mailing list!
This cute but dated nightstand has been tucked in the back of the workshop for awhile now, just waiting for its turn to be transformed! I pulled it out of storage, dusted it off, took a step back and after staring at it for a few minutes formed a plan of attack.
I knew I wanted to visually open it up and show off the cute little legs by taking off the cabinet door. After the door and all of the hardware was removed I filled in the holes and sanded it. Followed by a coat of primer and a couple coats of glossy white paint it was time for my favorite part...the pop of color! I painted the now cubbyhole and inside of the drawer this sweet pastel sweet pea green! I had this delightful swirly heart shaped drawer pull on hand that was perfect after a touch of green!
This nightstand is a wonderful addition to any bedroom in your home. Style it for your little ones room, your guest room or even as an end table in the living room.
Hello! I hope everyone had an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend! I am back in San Francisco with some new inspiration, thank you Seattle! I pulled this nightstand out of storage this morning and I am so excited to turn it into a beautiful piece!
I don't want to ruin the surprise but I'll give you a hit as to what I have in store for this facelift... glossy white, a touch of gold, and remove a piece or two! S
